SUPC Procurement Shared Service

SUPC has established a shared service providing expert procurement support to subscriber institutions from the HE and FE Sectors.

It is focused on helping individual institutions increase the maturity of their procurement capability (i.e. moving towards advanced procurement). It is ultimately about:

  • Driving value from procurement within subscriber institutions
  • Promoting the value of procurement within subscriber institutions and across the sector.

Two levels of service are offered to support this objective:

  1. Maturity Study & Action Planning
  2. Implementation Support

This procurement shared service is supported by HEFCE funding through their Shared Service Initiative.

The Procurement Shared Service is currently embarking on a proof of concept year, aimed at demonstrating the value of the service by working with a variety of institutions on a range of different projects. If you would be interested in participating in the proof of concept phase please contact Iain Littlejohn, Manager of the SUPC Procurement Shared Service at i.a.littlejohn@reading.ac.uk or Susan Wright, Head of SUPC at s.wright@reading.ac.uk.
