Stationery and Laboratory Conveners Jo Andrews, University of Bath, is the new stationery convener. If anyone has any ideas for improvements within the group please email them to Jo as she is very open to new ideas. We are still looking for a new Laboratory Convener to replace Clive who retired from University of Kent at the end of March. If anyone is interested in finding out more please contact Susan Wright for further information. Sustainability Please note the British Standard guidance for sustainable procurement (BS 8903) which Action Sustainability have been working on with BSI is not out for public consultation as yet, however for those who are interested the draft can be found by following this link http://drafts.bsigroup.com/Home/Details/455 and you can submit your comments. The Sustainable Procurement Centre of Excellence (SPCE) will be promoting BS 8903 on its website and will advise the sector once it is out for public consultation. Please remember that the SUPC Sustainability website contains examples of many quick wins. The web address is http://www.supc.ac.uk/members/commodity-groups/sustainability Price increase – PPE Agreement Prices with E&E Workwear, on the PPE agreement, for their laboratory coats have increased from 1st April. The average increase is 2.9% and this is the first increase since the agreement commenced in December 2006. An updated price list can be found on CuPID.
