The next joint LUPC & SUPC Responsible Procurement Group meeting will take place online on Thursday 10 February 2022 from 10:00 - 12:00. This is a quarterly meeting for LUPC and SUPC members showcasing responsible procurement activity being undertaken across our combined memberships.
The event will include:
- Ethical Laboratories: Jiteen Ahmed, Head of Technical Services, Aston University, will provide a cradle to grave overview of purchasing laboratory equipment. His presentation will cover how to make better decisions throughout the procurement process of the equipment to maximise re-use, recycling and the circular economy.
- Update from LUPC, SUPC and UKUPC on the latest developments in the sector.
- Guided discussion on the journey to net-zero and what practical steps can be taken to reach our net-zero targets.
