The Metadata & Discovery Southern Interest Group (MADSIG) is a specialist group dedicated to bibliographic metadata and discovery issues.
The group is mainly of interest to librarians working in this specialist area, which forms a key building block of library services. The intention is to keep the discussion very current and also to allow members to speak as frankly as they wish, so we do not set an agenda, take minutes, or record the meetings.
Metadata is key in supporting better student experience and also value for money so it is common that issues raised find their way into SUPC’s supplier relationship processes.
Coffee mornings are usually held monthly and are open to all SUPC and LUPC members.
