EVENT DETAILS
With the changes required by the Procurement Act, now is the perfect time to re-launch the SRM Group for SUPC/LUPC members. This meeting will provide an overview of SUPC’s new approach to Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). In the first session we will touch on the workstreams undertaken in preparation for the ProcAct23 including the gateway tendering process, as an integral part of the contract lifecycle from tender to contract management. We will outline how we have prepared and what key aspects of SRM we are kicking off with, our approach to segmentation, calendar of events and aspirations for agenda for all suppliers, as a minimum.
We hope members will take the opportunity to share experiences, discuss best practices, and address challenges in supplier engagement. The session aims to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration, shaping the focus of future meetings within this group. Through our networking group we hope we can identify key topics we might be able to do deep dives on in the future, with potential guest speakers or suppliers included but this first group is a starter for ten.

SUPC’s Approach to SRM
Presented by Clare Riley (Special Projects Lead) and Izzy Mackenzie (Assistant Supplier Relationship Manager)
Clare and Izzy will outline the steps SUPC has taken in developing its SRM strategy so far, including:
- SUPC Tender Gateway Process and record keeping
- Supplier Segmentation & definitions and why
- Supplier Engagement
- SRM rollout programme – key initiatives and next steps
- Contract Library & Reporting *preparing for the phase 2 of contract notices
MEMBER DISCUSSION
Members will have the opportunity to contribute insights on their own supplier management strategies.
- Objective is for this to be a supportive networking group to discuss all aspects of SRM, including getting an understanding of potential topics for future focus – eg: KPIs, Contract Management Systems, Business Review Agendas, Record Keeping, tracking costs or contract spend. Operational vs Commercial management, building relationships the right way, etc…
We look forward to an engaging and collaborative discussion with our members.
