7th February 2025 | Member Update |
We are pleased to announce that SUPC will begin issuing quarterly Creditsafe usage reports to help you better understand the value-added benefit available to you as SUPC members.
Creditsafe is a tool available to our members that enables access to simplified company credit reports across the globe. The information within Creditsafe company reports is taken directly from several credible sources, including Companies House.
Below, we’ve outlined key details about the Creditsafe service, best practice, and how you can make the most of it.
Available Reports & Allocation
Usage allocation is shared across all UKUPC consortia, with our costs set based on percentage use the previous year, so it’s important to manage usage effectively.
PAYG reports (e.g. international reports) must be requested via NEUPC using the International Report Request Form, which can be found on Hunter, and emailed to creditsafe@neupc.ac.uk.

Downloads vs Clicks
Creditsafe usage is monitored based on the number of searches performed, with each search contributing towards our maximum usage limit. To optimise usage and avoid duplication, please download reports once only, rather than repeatedly accessing the same search. Additionally, to prevent unnecessary duplication, ensure that suppliers covered by Framework Agreements are not tracked or accessed unnecessarily.
Please note that SUPC already monitors awarded suppliers as part of ongoing contract management, and will be addressing any issues, when necessary, and communicating with members.
Please see image below on how to download reports.

Account Management
Centralised Usage: Only procurement departments should have access to Creditsafe accounts to maintain control and accountability.
To help members better manage their accounts:
- Confirm who has access to your Creditsafe login credentials. We understand that logins were distributed a long time ago so if you need some assistance, we should be able to have some help from Matt Johnson at NEUPC, m.johnson@neupc.ac.uk.
- To acquire your institution’s username and password, you can email premier.support@creditsafeuk.com or call CreditSafe on 02920 886 500.
- Evaluate usage by reviewing who currently accesses the system and whether continued access is required.
If you suspect over-usage or need assistance managing your account, please let us know at supc@sums.ac.uk so we can support you in addressing this. Alternatively, you can contact creditsafe@neupc.ac.uk directly.
Our business insight team are working on a quarterly report that will be issued to members as a tool to help your institution best understand the service available to you. We are committed to ensuring Creditsafe is a valuable resource for all members and will provide regular updates to support effective usage.
