At the Southern Universities Procurement Consortium (SUPC), our members are at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to helping universities, colleges, and the wider public sector organisations achieve value for money, compliance, and sustainable procurement outcomes through collaboration, expert guidance, and access to best-in-class frameworks.
Whether you’re a current member or exploring membership for the first time, SUPC provides a range of support services, tools, and resources designed to make procurement easier, more effective, and strategically aligned with your organisation’s goals.
What do we offer?
Every SUPC member has access to our Procurement Business Partner (PBP) who acts as the first point of contact for strategic and operational support. Your PBP works closely with you to:
- Help identify the right frameworks for your needs
- Provide guidance on mini competitions and direct awards
- Support procurement planning and category engagement
- Connect you with peers and suppliers across the sector
We believe in the power of shared learning. SUPC offers members a comprehensive programme of training, webinars, and events throughout the year, these have been developed by member feedback and emerging sector priorities. Here you can view all planned SUPC events.
Topics range from category-specific insights and framework updates to sessions on procurement compliance, sustainability, and best practice.
These events provide opportunities to network, share experiences, and collaborate with other procurement professionals across the UK HE or Wider Public Sector.
Members benefit from procurement data analysis, benchmarking, and reporting tools that help track performance, identify savings opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making.
Our team also supports members in delivering compliance reporting and in aligning procurement activity with institutional goals and regulatory requirement as well and producing and developing your annual member benefit statement for all Full and Associate members of SUPC.
Considering joining SUPC? We can provide prospective members with:
- Introductory consultations to understand your needs and goals
- Guidance on the most suitable membership level (Full, Associate, or Affiliate)
- Demonstrations of our frameworks and support systems
- Access to initial resources to help you explore how membership could benefit your organisation
Joining SUPC means becoming part of a UK-wide procurement network through the UK Universities Procurement Consortia (UKUPC), with shared expertise, resources, and collaborative opportunities.
