SUPC has been recognised as the leading framework provider for AI enabled ICT procurement, according to Tussell’s latest AI Procurement Tracker. As public sector spending on AI reached record levels in 2025, SUPC frameworks accounted for the highest share of spend underlining the critical role we play in supporting members to adopt AI and digital technologies at scale.

Between 2018 and January 2026, UK public bodies awarded 1,690 AI contracts worth £4 billion, with 2025 alone seeing a 102% year-on-year increase in AI contract value to £1.17 billion. This rapid growth follows the government’s AI Opportunities Action Plan and signals that policy ambition is now translating into real procurement activity.
Tussell’s analysis also shows accelerating demand following the emergence of generative AI, with public sector AI spending more than doubling between 2022 and 2023.
Frameworks are becoming essential routes to market in this fast-moving space, with over £36 billion awarded through IT and digital framework agreements in FY24/25.
SUPC’s ICT frameworks, which includes SSSNA and our newly launched High Performance Computing (HPC) framework, are designed to help institutions innovate and procure with confidence. They provide compliant, flexible access to a broad supplier market, alongside the governance, quality standards and safeguards needed to procure responsibly.
At SUPC we will remain focused on delivering future-ready frameworks that support innovation, value for money and responsible digital transformation.
