Clare joined SUMS Group as a Category Manager in Professional Services in June, having come from Sovereign Housing Association a registered Charity.
Her last role was as SRM mobilisation lead, project managing the integration of 3rd party contract management tool, and creating and embed a consistent approach to managing suppliers across the business to improve quality of data, deliver commercial benefits and develop strategic partnerships as part of a programme of Business Transformation projects.
Previously she has worked in both private and public sector procurement, leading and managing teams, in various sectors including, retail, travel, HE and housing. Clare has specialised in direct sourcing across the UK and Europe, Middle East and Far East Asia, enjoying the opportunity to experience and learn about others cultures and further her understanding of logistics, end to end supply chain, open cost modelling and designing products from brief to cost targets, delivering net margin benefit.
Clare lives with her husband and daughter, with two cats and a dog. She enjoys reading, primarily crime and history, and writes novels in her spare time.
